Smart

My dad gave me one dollar bill
'Cause I'm his smartest son,
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters
'Cause two is more then one!

And then I took the quarters
And traded them to Lou
For three dimes - I guess he don't know
That three is more then two!

Just then, along came old blind Bates
And just 'cause he can't see
He gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
And four is more then three!

And I took the nickels to Hiram Coombs
Down at the seed-feed store
And the fool gave me five pennies for them,
And five is more then four!

And then I went and showed my dad,
And he got red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head -
Too proud of me to speak!

Update!
This afternoon it was pouring rain and at about 4:45 the tornado sirens went off and we turned on the news (after preparing for the worst) and found out that there was a tornado not five miles from our house! I tell you we got such a scare! Fortunatly the tornado was short lived and the storm moved on although it did do some tornado damage in the countys just north of us.

"... too proud of me to speak!"

Doesn't need much more saying then that! :)

I guess I can just comment because... this blog seems lonely. Does anyone ever come here?

that's... disappointing. But what can I do about it? Alas, I can't help much. Never fear, you have at least one reader. :)
