Christmas play

Hello! Today my church is having the childrens and the adults christmas plays. well, in the childrens christmas play, the girl who was supposed to play one of the two main charicters is sick and probably won't be ther so guess who got picked today to fill in? You guessed it, me. I won't have to memorize anything because I'll just read the lines out of the book but I do have a short solo that I have to learn and my voice is kinda hoarse because I am just a tiny bit sick. Well, I guess I will just have to do as good as I can.

Home!

WE'RE HOME! In case you didn't know, jc and I have been gone for the past two weeks and we just flew home yesterday. We were visiting my grandparents in New Mexico. I had a great time, even though I missed everyone at home terribly. We shopped every day of the second week except Sunday! Jc and I bought presents for everyone in our family who lives in New Mexico to save on shipping. On the way to My grandparents we stopped at a place called White Sands Missile Range. It is a government testing area for missiles and rockets. But why call it White Sands? Because there is white sand all over. There is a place where you can drive though the dunes and park your car and get out and hike up and slide down the dunes. The only problem? I got buried in the sand and it was about 45 degrees out there. The only really strange thing was that there were puddles of water every where. Apparently it had rained a few weeks ago and the water never dried up. One of the things that continually amazed me was the mountains, and the sunsets, and the open plains, and the clouds in the sky....... If I tried to describe it all, I would forever be at a loss for words. I was continually reminded of how great our God truly is. When the sun was just about to disappear, it would turn the Organ mountains pink for a minute or so, and then they would go back to normal as if they had never changed. New Mexico is just gorgeous. Well, I had better close this post now, it's gotten too long already.

The great snake hunt

This morning a termite guy came to our house to check for termites. He found no such beasts. Instead, he found two snakes by a hose in our front yard.

Of course I just had to catch them and take pictures because I think snakes are facinateing. The first snake was no problem, I just scooped him into the bucket.

It was about 8 inches long. The second snake however, was a differant story. It was the nicer looking snake of the two (they were differant kinds) and it was also a little faster. Of course you can't put the two snakes together, so I had my younger brother finde another container to
hold it in.

I tried once to catch the snake. Failed. Oh well, I will try again. Failed again. Then on the third try, I had it in my bucket. Half of it anyways. I thought that it was the same size as the other snake but it was a little over a foot long. It got away. No picture, no capture, nothing. Well, I thought to myself, I still have the other snake.
Or so I thought. I went back in the house and about two hours later I went out side to check on it and it had escaped. I thought it was gone for good but once again I was wrong. It was in the mum that was next to it's holding bucket.
I poked and prodded it with my paint stick and it kept on sliding away.

Then, When all hope was lost, I was able to knock it out of the plant and after chasing it all over my front porch I scooped it up once again. I took a few more pictures and then I left it in peace.
I bet it's tired.

WOOOOHOOOO!

I am so excited I'm not even going to mention the fact that I haven't posted in a long time. MY SISTER AND I ARE GOING TO STAY WITH MY GRANDPARENTS FOR A WEEK AFTER THE REST OF MY FAMILY HAS LEFT AFTER THANKSGIVING AND WE ARE GOING TO FLY HOME BY OURSELVES! I can't wait! We are going to have their house to ourselves for a lot of the time and we can watch movies and get on the computer and watch tv (we don't get cable or satellite at our house) and play board games and have a ton of fun. They even have bicycles so we might be able to ride bikes. It will be so fun! We will go up with my family the Monday before thanksgiving and then everyone but me and jcp will leave the Saturday after and then we will stay a week and then leave the next Saturday! I can't wait!

I also have to post this picture I took of a four
leaf clover my friend found after a long bike-ride that must have been at least two miles long up and down hill after hill... Also we found giant acorns and edible flowers, also in the picture.

Well, it's been a long time since I posted but I am finaly back. Yesterday there was a swimming party for the homeschool teens. Before that we went to the park and played softball with the homeschool teens. I had a lot of fun at both events. Last time we played softball I didn't have much fun because the bases were to far back and so the only way you could get on base was to either get a great hit or the other team had to drop the ball. This week the bases were much closer and the teams were more fair. I had a lot of fun. Then, at the swimming party I had a blast. We've never had a swimmingparty before and so I wasn't sure how it would go off but it went great. We jumped off the diving board, had chicken fights, sat in the hot tub, ate pizza and cookies, played marco polo and sharks and minnows (the former worked better) and many other things. The best part about it though is that we are going to have another swimming party in febuary! Yes! today I have my last two softball games of the season. Well, the last league games at least. We are going to play in two tournaments later.

Softball, softball and more softball!

Well, today I had two softball games. Well, I was supposed to have two softball games, it ended up being three. The first was at 9:00 so I had to be here at 8:00 to get warmed up. The night before I spent the night with the coaches daughter and we stayed up till after 11:00 watching Star Wars-Return of the Jedi. Its strange, while my friend and I were watching Star Wars our little brothers were at my house watching the Princess Bride. You would think it would be the other way around. Not that I have anything against Princess Bride, I think it is a great movie, its just funny the way we watched Star Wars and the boys watched the Princess Bride. The games today we were missing a player so I had to play catcher. It went great the first game and I caught well, probably better then I ever caught before. We won and what made our victory even sweeter was that last week we played the same team and they beat us 12 to 0. This week we beat them by, well... I don't remember the score but we beat them. The second game was good to but I had to catch again and about halfway through the game I was exhausted. We won that game to and the score was 10 to 8. Then, although we were supposed to be done we played a third game because the team that was supposed to play didn't show up. I had to catch again and I almost collapsed. Now, under normal circumstances I would have felt better but the third game started at 3:00 and I hadn't had lunch. The only thing I had was Gaiter-aid. Thankfully Dad went to Arbys and got me a roast beef sandwich that I ate in my spare moments during the game (along with an apple and a few bees who joined me). We didn't win the third game but the odds were against us. #1, we had already played 2 games. #2, it was hot. #3, the umpires wasted about 15 minutes at the beginning of the game because they were trying to get out of umping the game. #4, it was hot. #5, we had to bring in two subs because not everybody could stay. #6, it was hot. We should have won the third game. We could have except we ran out of time. I wonder whose fault that was. *cough cough* the umpires! Another thing that made me mad was that the umpire wasn't calling everything correct. Two people were called out who weren't out and he called strikes that were balls and balls that were strikes. I remember one incident where our pitcher threw a perfect screw-ball and he called it a ball! A ball! I was mad. Everybody there except the umpire thought it was a strike! I think he should've been overruled. Well, this post is already to long so I will close with a good remark (since the last bit has been negative), We played excellently today!

Well hello! This Frieday I had my first two softball games of the season! We unfortunatly lost them both. In the first game I got on base twice and I scored both times. That game we got three runs total and I scored the first and the last of them. The second game was terrible. Only one girl got on base and it was only because the firstbaseman bobbled the ball. Still, I think that she should get a medal for actualy hitting the ball. The team we were playing had a pitcher that could get by just about everybody. After the games we came home a got ready for a court of honor for one of the boys in our homeschool group. I thought that the ceremoney was very nice although I had to miss a little bit for baby Phil. After the ceremoney there was refreshments next door and after the refreshments some of us played basketball and I had a lot of fun playing. Then yesterday a friend and I worked on our duo interp speech that we have decided to do. We got a lot done in the three hours we worked on it and I am excited about it. The only problem is that the tournament we are planning to go to will be very tough competition. Last year one of the duo speeches was a story that they had written and copy writed and then they got a coach to help them. So we will be up against tough competiters but we shall survive! Well, I need to go now, bye!

P.S. The date is messed up, I posted this September 26, 2006.

Tuesday, September 12, 2006

Well hello. I haven't had much to post about but now I have enough to make an interesting post. Last Friday we had a teen party at our house and I had a blast. While the parents planned the rest of the year, the teens got to play four-square, basketball and any other game you could play outside. I enjoyed four-square. After the meeting was over we all had pizza hut and by that time it was dark enough to play vampire freeze tag, a game that I couldn't play very well because right before we started I turned my ankle and it hurt very bad. After that we played hide and seek but some of the teens got board so they climbed our tree with all the vines and all three of them got poison ivy! The one place in our yard that has poison ivy and they found it. I feel bad because I told people that I didn't think there was any poison ivy in our yard. Well, I guess they won't be climbing up our tree any more. After the party I spent the night at a friends house and I must admit it is rather strange to leave your own party. Then we went to the zoo on Saturday and after that we went to dairy queen and got ice cream. But apparently dad didn't realize that the large blizzard is enough ice cream for four people because he ordered a large for me to split with my brother. We ate it all. Now, on Sunday our church had the big 40 days of community kick off and for the youth we had a jello bowl, meaning we played games in jello. There was a slip and slide with jello on it, there was a jello toss, there was a jello relay race along with a few other games. Well, at the very end of the jello bowl we had a jello war, but just before that my youth ministers daughter slipped on the slip and slid and sprained her neck. They took her to the hospital and she stayed home from school the next day. We are all thankful it was nothing more serious. I saw her fall and it wasn't pretty. Also, another guy in the highschool group slit his knee open on something under the slip and slide and he went to the hospital to have it stiched up. But, other then that the jello bowl went well and I had a great time. Today I am going to sell yearbooks to the homeschoolers at Wal-Mart. Fun. I am also excited about this Saturday because I will get to change my earrings out. YEEESSSSSS! I have been waiting for six weeks to change them out. Now, I don't think there's anything left to post so I will close. Until later, goodbye.

Hello

Well, I'm back. I finally feel like posting so I will post. Last Friday we had grandparents come to stay until leaving this morning a little after 7:00. We played hand and foot, Frisbee golf and watched movies. One of the movies we watched was Hawaii. I didn't like that movie. It was sad, a little gruesome, and, unfortunately, a lot of the things in the movie (not the story but things like events that went on) are based off of things that really happened. I don't recommend it for a movie to watch for fun. On Friday we had the first homeschool event of the year. I had a great time and we played ultimate Frisbee, although no one ever threw me the Frisbee *tear*. Maybe next time someone will throw me the Frisbee. This Friday we are having a teen party at our house! Fun! We will also plan the events for the coming year at the party. We are thinking about doing service projects this year. Another sad thing that happened was announced yesterday on the news, Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter, died. He was filming a documentary on stingrays when one of them stung him in the left of his chest and killed him. I remember watching his show and being annoyed because they showed the same show over and over and over, seeing his movie when it came out, getting his movie for Christmas, having a crocodile hunter birthday cake, I even have a crocodile hunter board game! Well, I guess the worst part about his death was that he wasn't even that old when he died and he had a three year-old, a wife and a seven year-old.

Well, I'm back. Actually I was back a long time ago but I forgot to post so I will recount the trip now. We had a great trip to our friends house and we did lots of things. We rode horses and watched movies and swam and bowled and skated and rode their motor scooter and made cream puffs and played with pictures on their computer. We watched a lot of movies, at lease 8 movies, and probably more. I had a great time, even though one of their horses stepped on my toe. It hurt a lot. Since my birthday has recently come to pass my friend got my birthday present. She got me Arwen's necklace that she gave to Aragorn! It is very pretty and it is almost exactly like though one in the movie, except for a few difference's that are so small you hardly notice. Of course it is not a pure silver necklace with real diamonds but it looks very nice. Well, I'm afraid that I must go now, so until later, goodbye.

Haircut

Well, last Tuesday I visited a local salon and had my hair cut. To most of you this doesn't sound interesting but for me it was very cool. I had hair long enough to donate to locks of love and so I had twelve inches cut off. We are going to mail it in after we can print the before and after pictures to send in. If you do a little research you will find out that so many people lose their hair to cancer. Although it seems impossible to do anything but donate money to find a cure there is one thing you can do that costs nothing but a little time. You can donate your hair. If you grow out your hair long enough to cut off at least ten inches you can put it in a ponytail and ship it off to locks of love. I grew my hair out for two years and then had twelve inches cut off, with hair enough to put into a ponytail! Although it is hard to go from having lots of hair to having only a little hair it is worth it when you know that you are giving your hair to someone who may never be able to grow their own hair again and couldn't afford to buy a wig. Here is the link to the website where you can find out about donating your hair: http://www.locksoflove.org/donate_hair.php

Seussical

Well hello everyone, it has been a while since I posted but I am back now. Yesterday was the audience dress rehearsal at Lamp-Light for the Seussicle and it went very well. There were a few small mistakes but overall it went really well. I play a who and I am also a water friend in one scene. Tonight is opening night and amazingly I am not one little bit nervous. I have had fun in this production and I will be very sad when it ends. The main story is based off the book by Dr. Seuss called Horton hears a Who. The main characters are Horton, The Cat in the Hat and the Mayor of Whovill's son JoJo. In the story Horton hears the whos on their speck of dust calling for help. He puts the dust on a clover and vows to protect it at all costs. The inhabitants of the jungle say he's crazy because they can't hear the whos. The story continues on with JoJo being sent off to war and three monkeys stealing the clover with the dust speck on it and Horton being sent off to the circus McGurcas while sitting on a nest with an egg in it. Now, do I have your curiosity aroused? Well, thats all you'll get from me! you'll just have to come see the production or read the book Horton hears a Who by Dr. Seuss. Well, that's all folks!

Angel

My dogs name was Angel. We got her when she was about one or two. She was a mix between a lab and a cockerspanial (I think) and she was a light brownish whiteish color. I loved her so much. Unfortunately I never took enough time out of my day to take care of her. I fed her, watered her, brushed her and spent about five minuets with her every day and i used to walk her occasionally and i gave her a bath about once every three or four months. But that wasn't enough. I should have spent an hour or two every day with her and walked her every day and given her a bath twice a month. Last Thursday when I came home from play rehearsal at around 10 mom said that Angel wasn't acting normal. I went outside that night and didn't find her so the next morning I found her. Sure enough she was sick. Very sick. I gave her a bath that morning and tried to get her to get up and walk around but she wouldn't. Mom scheduled an appointment for her at the vet but we couldn't get one till this coming Wednesday. Saturday at around fiveish I went out side to check on her and she was dead. She was only abut 9 years old. I cried for about three hours and we buried her in our backyard at about seven. I loved that dog and I pray she is in a better place.

Camp!

Well, I have had a great week. Last Monday I went to church camp and I had a great time. The one problem with camp however is that the ground is mostly dust and I have seasonal allergies and the dust was not good for me. Other then that I had a blast. I didn't even get a sunburn and that is an incredible feat for me to achieve. But I think that my favorite part (besides getting a week with new people to talk to) was evening worship. I loved the speaker and the worship was very serious and meaningful to me. Every day there is a clean cabin award, one for the boys and one for the girls. Each cabin cleans everything up and tries to get the cleanest cabin out of all the cabins. Well, sometimes there is a messy cabin award but this year the directors weren't planning to have one. Our cabin didn't know that and so on Wednesday everyone but me and the counselor and one other person were trying to get the messy award and so they put leaves all over and threw clothes on the floor and in the rafters and messed up their bunkes. Well, the councilors thought that that was a bad idea so they gave our cabin (with the exception of us who kept ourselves clean and organized) the job of cleaning up after the meals for the rest of the day. Well, after that they decided that the messy award wasn't any fun so we got our act together a won the clean award on Friday, the last possible day. Friday evening one of the girls in the pink cabin (not my cabin) had left wet clothes out and open food on her bed and so guess what happened, she found a scorpion in her bed. Well, of all sixty nine kids there, she was the one person that didn't need one in her bed. When she found out about it she screamed for about ten minutes then she finely left and wouldn't sleep in the cabin so she moved to the air conditioned cabin (our cabins were only screened in at the top) and slept there. If she had to sleep in her bed I think she would have passed out from sheer fright! Amazingly everyone got over it rather quickly and she was the only one who moved. In addition to finding a scorpion, people found snakes all over the place. They must have killed about five or six while we were there and there were some that didn't get killed. I kept on looking for a snake but I never saw one. Darn. Well, I need to go now, I've been on for longer then I should have. So until later, goodbye!

Well I'm back

Well hello everyone. Yes, I am finely posting. I not posted for a while because I haven't really felt like it but I feel like it now so I guess I'll post. This last week was VBS at our church and I was in charge of six kids. ARGGGG! I had a very very tiring week. Now, I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy myself, in fact, I had a blast. I'm just saying that although I loved all the kids to death, I am glad I don't have to keep up with them any more. That's all. Well, last weekend I went to my friends birthday party and I spent the weekend with her and I had a blast! We swam a lot (she has a pool) and on Saturday night we never went to bed (or to sleep for that matter). I hope she had as much fun as I did. This Sunday I am going to camp! Yay! I can't wait! I have been looking forward to camp for a long time and I am sure that I will have a blast. I will tell you all about it when I get back. Well, I must be on my way, goodbye!

Canoe trip part 2

Well, now for the second day of my canoe trip. Sunday morning I woke up about 6:00 or 7:00 and sat by the fire and talked with the other people who were up, mostly adults but there was one other girl up. Once breakfast was ready and there still wasn't anybody up the one other girl who was awake and I got a huge metal pan and a big metal utensil and we went down by the tents and banged as loud as we could on that pan until we woke everybody up for breakfast (with Mr Mark's permission of course). After breakfast we pushed off and started down the river. We mostly just paddled the whole day and stopped a few times and except for one stoop it was mostly uneventful. We had stopped for the last time to let everyone catch up and had eaten some fruit and were all leaving and dad and I had just pushed off when we herd this bloodcurdling scream from behind. We turned around and saw this girl leap out of her canoe, land on her feet and in about two seconds was ten feet away from her canoe and her partner was standing in his seat with his paddle ready. We asked somebody what happened and apparently there was a snake in their canoe! They finale got everything settled in their boat and continued but later on they somehow got a fish in their boat that was about five inches long. Aside from that there was nothing super exciting that day. On the way home I mostly slept because I was so tired. Well, that was the overview of the trip, if anyone wants a more specific story they can just ask me and I would be glad to oblige. This evening was the softball closing ceremony's and my team got third! I have only placed once before this after playing for six years so it was very exciting. Well, if you want to know the reason that I didn't post this sooner, a stomach virus has been going around and I was to busy on Monday and Tuesday and on Wednesday I got sick and today we had grandparents over and right now is the first chance I had to post anything. Well, that's all for now so until later, goodbye!

Canoe trip part 1

Well, I'm back from the canoe trip and I had a blast. Friday night we got to the caddo river and spent the night at the landing catching crayfish and roasting marshmellows. I accidentally leaned against one of the roasting sticks and got gooey marshmellows all over my clothes. The next morning we had fresh doughnuts from town that were really good and around 9:30 to 10 we pushed off. After canoing for about two hours we stopped for lunch and swam for a little while. Then we continued for a few more hours and stopped at the "jumping rock" where we always stop. The jumping rock is a huge rock that sticks out of the water and the water is deep enough to jump into and we always stay there for an hour at least. While we were stopped I saw this fish in the water that looked like it was very sick and was sort of half floating half swimming and I thought to myself that I would like to catch that fish. Around that time a few more people saw the fish and so me and three other boys all jumped into the water to catch the fish. I was getting very close and then I had it.. and then I lost it. I had my hands around it but it slipped away. Then, one or two girls got on top of the rock so they could see it better and gave us directions on where the fish was because we couldn't see it from in the water. We then chased the fish for ten minutes but I was the only one who actually touched it. We finaly had to give up and so we went back to jumping off the rock until we had to go on. We canoed for another three hours or so (maybe longer) and then we got to the campsite. The closest we got to tumping over was after the jumping rock. We were going down the river and I was in the back steering when up ahead we here fast water. I was thinking that it was just fast water and it would be no problem. I was wrong. The river had a sharp bend in it and the water was going fast and then on one side there was a tree right up next to the water. The tree was sort of pulling you towards it and we hit that tree broadside, took on a little water and got a little bruised and wet. Daddy stopped the canoe (we were backwards) and pulled it in to the bank. He then proceeded to help everyone who came past there until our entire group which, by that time was spread out, had come past. In addition to our group he helped numerous other people. We must have waited 30 to 45 minutes! That was the closest we ever came to tumping over. Once we were at the campsite we put up our tent on the rocky and uncomfortable ground and I swam for the next hour or two. Then, I watched some people fishing for gar. There were a lot of gar this year and they were big. One guy caught one that was almost two feet long! After that we had a wonderful dinner of steak and mashed potatoes and salad and if you wanted you could have some fruit. Later that evening we had a lesson and then I went to bed. That is all for the first day and so I will end this post, but I will post day two later. Goodbye all!

Awesome

YES!!!!!!!!!
This afternoon my friend whose birthday party was scheduled for the weekend of the canoe trip has moved it (not for me, I told her not to make changes in her schedule for me) to some time in June! I WILL BE ABLE TO GO ON THE CANOE TRIP!! I was so exited that when I was telling my dad about it I made a leap into the air and came down... right on my ankle! It hurt teribly and the last time I remember hurting my ankle this bad was two years ago in the summer play at the community theater. I normaly wouldn't mind except the fact that I have a softball game at 5:30 today and we are already calling in several subs. If my ankle doesn't feel good I will be very upset. Well, that is all for now.

Purple fingers

Yup, thats right, I have purple fingers. Yesterday morning we (my family and I) went dewberry picking. Some friends of ours invited us to come and pick because they had a lot on thier property. We must have picked a ton before we stoped and we might go back, but I don't see how we'll have time to. This summer will be the buisyest summer I can remember. I have a church camp, I hav some speech camps that I want to go to, I have softball tournaments that my ccoach wants to do this summer and I want to be in a musical this summer. I still don't know how or when I will finde the time to fit all these activitys into my summer but hopefully I will find a solution soon.

Tears of crushing dissapointment

Tears roll down her cheeks, her hopes are crushed, to her, it seems as if no one cares for her, she is all alone...

okay, maybe it's not that dramatic, but I am very sad. My youth minister recheduled the canoe trip for the week-end of my best friends birthday and so I had to make a choice and I decided that I will go to her party because she lives three hours away from me. Oh well, I guess that I will just have to go on the canoe trip next year. But, when I get back I will tell you all about my trip. Untill then,

Agony! ! ! ! ! ! !

It's not fair!!! I was supposed to go on a canoe trip to the Caddo river in Arkansas and it got canceled !!! There are severe thunderstorms coming in and my youth minister didn't want to end up stuck in Arkansas without being able to canoe because there were to many storms. I am in pain! I hope that he has just postponed the trip and that it is not canceled. I had a friend invite me to spend the night tonight so I think that I'll call her and tell her that I can go. *tear* I have been looking forward to this trip for a year and now my hopes are crushed. With sadness,

Hello!

Hello everyone! I have not posted in about a week so I thought that I would write (type) somthing. Yesterday jc came home from a cannoe trip. She left Frieday and got back yesterday. She had a blast and only got a few injuries including a sun burn, blood blister and various scrapes and scratches. The good news about her getting to have the coolest weekend ever is that I am going to get to go on cannoe trip #2 this weekend. I am looking forward to the trip but sometimes the kids in my youth group can make me really mad because of the things they say and do. Oh well, I can just cannoe in the front and not have to worry about it. Two days ago, Saturday, I had a softball game at 11:30 and I got sun burned on top of my shoulders. I have very light skin and I burn easily and so even with sun screen on I got burned. I enjoy softball a lot and it is currently the only sport I play, but I also like to ride my bike. That is compleatly irrevalent to this post. Anyways, I play catcher and second base and when I'm not playing either of those positions I am sitting out or playing in the out field. Well, I can't think of any thing else to type so I will close. Untill later, goodbye.

Yesterday we went on a trip to New London and Tyler. First we went to New London to see the musem on the school explosian and it was really neat. there was pices of debree and differant storys about people who were in the explosian. One of the things I liked about the musem wa that it not only covered the explosian but it also covered the basic history of New London and what happened in the next few decades after the explosian. It was a very sad experiance because of the hundreds of children and teachers that were killed in the explosian. After we went to New London we went to the Tyler zoo. At the zoo it was probably 95 degrees and we all got really hot, althought non of us got sunburned because we all put on sun screen. My favorit animal at the zoo was probably one of the big cats, such as a Bob cat or Jaguire. I love watching big cats, although I would never like to meet one in the wild. when we came back to the car we discovered to our shagrin that w e had a flat tire and so we spent another thirty minuats in the parking lot putting on the spare so we could drive to a place to get it fixed. But before we could get it fixed we of course had to go get something to eat and so we found an Olive Garden. after we ate we went to the mall and while we waited on the tire to be fixed we shopped at Sears. I found a pair of shoes that I really liked on the clarence rack but they were about two or three sizes to small. They would have been perfect for the canoe trip to. After about thirty minuts the tire was ready and so we got ready to go home. By this time it was probably about 8:15 and we decided that we had to make one more stop at the local Braums while daddy and jc went to a sporting goods store to look for dry bags for the cannoe trip. They unfortunatley didn't have any so they had to console themselves with ice cream. Then, finaly, at about ten, we were ready to make the hour and a half long trip home. On the way dad put in a tape called "Failer is not forever and success is neverending" or something like that. I fell asleep despite all efforts to stay awake to listen to such an exciting and adventuresome tape : - P. After we got home I went strait to bed but jc stayed up really late. So there you are, my story of yesterday. Thank you.

Happy Easter!

Yesterday, Frieday,, was not just any old Frieday, but it was good Frieday, the day Jesus Christ was crusified. It was a day of sadness and suffering for all who love Him. A day without hope. Today is Saturday, and according to the Jews, it is the Sabbath. Today, Saturday, Jesus was inside the tomb. Today people are sort of happy-sad because we know that Jesus died for us but at the same time we know that we don't deserve it and so we are sad. Tomorrow is Easter, the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Tomorow is a day of happiness and renewed hope. We will all rejoice for our savior is alive! When He died on the cross on Frieday, we were sad and had no hope. Saturday we were in the middle, not hopeless but not rejoicing. Sunday, we will have our hope renewed and we will be ready to serve the Lord with everything we have. Where are you? Are you living like it's Frieday, or are you living like it's Sunday? Yesterday, Frieday, my youth paster gave a sermon with this theme, I thought that it was one of the most powerfull sermons he has given in a while and I enjoyed it a lot. Happy Easter!

Ah! The effects of being with other people for an extended pieriod of time

I'm back! I have been gone for the last few days to a speech and debate tournament. I had a lot of fun. I competed in two events and I did better in one of them then I thought that I would. Everyone who went from my debate club learned a lot and we all had a good time.

Ten of the things that happened on the trip (in no order) :

1. We discussed the possability of being able to go in a east-westerly direction
2. I let a 17 year old guy and a 11 year old girl braid my hair (a big mistake seeing as I was in the middle seat of the van and they were in the back)
3. We herd about trap doors in elevators
4. I repaired two peoples coats and my shirt cuff when thier buttons came off
5. I got tripped by a hang-up suitcase's hook
6. We found out what happens when you wave to other people on the road while your in a traffic jam in Dallas
7. We discoverd that we all have debate sindrom
8. A member of our club made it to the semie finals in expository speaking
9. We all got little or no sleep
10.And last but not least, we learned a lot about speech and debate

Every one had a great time and we all enjoyed meeting new people at the speech and debate tournament. I will post later, bey!

A little crazy

I havn't posted in a while because things have been a little crazy around here. Last Sunday at 9:32 AM, Philip Michael was born and wieghed 7 lb 12 oz and was 20 in long. He and his mother are doing fine and he is a healthy baby boy. Then, on Wednesday, my mothers parents came to visit us all the way from Las Cruses New Mexico. That's a fifteen hour drive! They stayed through Saturday morning and then left at two AM. On Saturday morning i had a softball tournament and our first game was at 8:00 AM, so we had to be there by 7:00. We played four games, two bracket games and two pool games (a pool game dosn't count in the ranking of the tournament). We lost all four of our games but we all had a blast. I got an incredible hit in the first game and got on base several times throughout the day and one girl on my team got a homerun. We are ready for the season! On Saturday we had some friends who live three hours away come visit the new baby and they stayed the night then left at about three. Well, that's how crazy things can get during a busy week at my house. : - )

I read this poem in my school book called Painless Poetry by Mary Elizabeth. The poem was writen by J.M. Synge after the sister of a man he considered to be his enemy critisized one of his plays. Mount joy is a prison in Dublin:

Lord confound this surly sister,
Blight her brow with blotch and blister,
Cramp her larynx, lung and liver,
In her guts a golling give her.
Let her live to earn her dinners
In Mountjoy with seedy sinners:
Lord this judgment quickly bring,
And i'm your servant, J. M. Synge

Can you imagin the shock that the lady the poem was writen about felt at being talked about that way? I would blow my top if someone wrote that about me! It makes you wonder what J. M. Synge was like! I certainly wouldn't like to meet him.

Little baby crawling fast

easy days are a thing of the past.

Almost toddler talking loud,

louder then a thundercloud.

It's not very long or good, but i hope you like it

About me

I have never had a blog so bear with me. I might write (or type) something really stupid. I have multiple sibblings of varying ages. I love the lotr books and movies, although the movies make me mad because they don't follow the books as closly as I think they should. I have three freinds that I write regularly that live at least three hours away and I am no good at spelling when I am not trying to be. I have never won first place in a sport but I have always loved basketball and softball. well, I must go to softball practice but I can't find the bug spray and someone will suffer dearly for it.
