Smart

My dad gave me one dollar bill
'Cause I'm his smartest son,
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters
'Cause two is more then one!

And then I took the quarters
And traded them to Lou
For three dimes - I guess he don't know
That three is more then two!

Just then, along came old blind Bates
And just 'cause he can't see
He gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
And four is more then three!

And I took the nickels to Hiram Coombs
Down at the seed-feed store
And the fool gave me five pennies for them,
And five is more then four!

And then I went and showed my dad,
And he got red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head -
Too proud of me to speak!

Update!
This afternoon it was pouring rain and at about 4:45 the tornado sirens went off and we turned on the news (after preparing for the worst) and found out that there was a tornado not five miles from our house! I tell you we got such a scare! Fortunatly the tornado was short lived and the storm moved on although it did do some tornado damage in the countys just north of us.

Spring break!

This last week has been fun. I signed up for a spring-break sewing camp and it just finished today. It was a three day camp and I made a purse, belt, hair scrunchies and finished my dress (the one I made for the ball needed a few touch-ups). I also had to do a little school because we took off a few days to go to my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party in Florida (I forgot to post about that). Last Saturday we (the older kids and Dad) went to the zoo to see what it was like, however there is an unspoken law that says everyone with kids has to go to the zoo on St. Patrick's day and the zoo was packed! We did have fun though and there was this cool little trail you could walk that had native Oklahoman animals. My favorite part was definantly the tram ride. It took us all over the zoo and was quite fun. The down-side to spring break is that there are no social gatherings (except at the zoo). Last night the most wonderful thing happened. It rained! Okc is much dryer then nac so it won't rain as much. My favorite kind of day is when the sky is overcast and it is raining intermittently the whole day.

Gospelgrass and Jesus painting

Well sorry guys but I keep forgetting to post, I will try to do better. This past weekend was the first ever Gopelgrass bluegrass festivle at our church. It was really cool. It was a shame that more people weren't there because the music was awesome! And the neatest thing about it was that the majority of the bands were families with kids ranging in age from 4 to 19! One of my favorite bands had a little girl who couldn't have been older then 6 or 7 who could play the fiddle extreamly well. The lady in charge of the festival said that we should form a family band and play at the next festival! I say NO! I wouldn't enjoy that. Now I'm sure your wondering about the second part of the title (if it were me I would be wondering). I saw this really cool video called Jesus painting:
